I just found out that my extra mother from Montreal is readíng my blogg so I better write in English=)
I just got back from my first flight, it was so much fun, but very scary. Backriding was Henrik the guy from Skåne, the sweetest guy in the whole world. So we had a breifing, than checked weather and some other stuff. So first up was me, I did the checklist for the plane, checking that everything was ok and everything worked, than we took off, first taxing to the runway, which I got to try, very hard, cause you have to stir with your feet and not hands. On the runway we pushed the speed to 60 knots before pulling the yoke (stiringwheel) back so the horisontal stabilizers retrakted, and we lifted off the ground(my favorite part of the flight). I got to manouver a little bit but most of the flight the instructor was monouvering. For this first flight we didnt get to do very much but monday we are doing most of the flight, with a main focus on holding the plane straight and leveled in the air. To stir it was quite difficult but worst of all was the radio communications. You hardley understand what they say and there are a million shortenings we have to memorize. This I think will be the hardest. The tower and forcast on the radio speak extreamly fast and you constanly have to change radio frequenzies when you go into new airspace, and also when you do this you have to at the same time change hight depending on who controls the airspace and how far or low this airspace is... So to summerize I will not see daylight the days im not flying..
We landed at an airport 1 hour away, than Henrik got in front.
It's about 35 degrees here so it gets a little hot in the plane. Lets just say I think we left some marks after us...
Cars are so cheap here that two of the guys in my class, Henrik and Christian(one of whom I live with) bought really nice cars, a Range Rover and a Hummer, which I get to drive woohoo. Me and Juliusz also have a nice convertable but not compared to these.
So we just got back from school/buying cars, we have a 3 houre brake until ground school starts (the theori). Right now we are reading about how the engine works and how it is built. This I found quite difficult in the begining since I have never been introduced to this before (I have never fixed/owed a car or any other engine), but Im really doing everything I can to catch up and I am really staring to get everything. We have a really good teacher, and also we have a really sweet airplane tecnitian in our class called David who helps me alot, so now if any of you have any questions on how piston engines fire away!
I am just so impressed by how they every managed to invent an aircraft, it is so extreamly intelligently composed, I get more and more impressed by each day!
We are reading ALOT of physics and the more I read and understand the more interesting it gets. Also me and David are going through exaktly how a car engine works since he is very into cars.
This weekens I think we'll be mostley studying but saturday I think we are going out a bit down town, but I think Ill be the driver since I dont handle hangovers very well (some of you know what I mean!).
Just wanna tell everybody in cold Sweden that now Im out by the pool, with the computer in 35 degrees ready to swim a bit, talk to you soon!
Xxx

Shit va coolt att du redan är uppe i luften! Fattar inte riktigt vilka dårar du pluggar med som går och köper Hummer(!!!) men det är ju kul för dom, haha.
Take care girl!

hej på dig,
wow, how cool to experience handling the take off, which is the best part, i agree. cold but a beautiful sunny day in stockholm. do i envy you? good question, yes and no. studying is tough, especially when the cool waters are beckoning you to come and swim. that is a real test, something i could imagine can be pretty tough to resist. or?
